I'd like to thank everyone for their support over the last couple of years with the GW2Stuff event timer project. Unfortunately, due to a couple of factors, the site is shutting down.
The project began with wanting to analyse the spawn patterns for the boss events that cropped up across the maps. Taking community input allowed for this kind of tracking, which worked rather well eventually. After a time, Cliff at ArenaNet contacted me out of the blue, and told me that they were intending to develop an API for GW2. Excited at this prospect, I began revamping the system internals to read from sample data, rather than user input. It wasn't long until fully-fledged event tracking was operational. Of course, other websites followed suit - each with varied capabilities - but GW2Stuff stood proud as the most sophisticated tracker for the world bosses.
All good things come to an end, however. I grew bored of the game, and GW2 transitioned to a fixed time schedule for their main events. From a code perspective, there was no more challenge, no more hurdles to overcome, and thus my interest dwindled. More sites popped up at this point, no more than simple timers - good-looking timers in some cases - but they now do that job far better than GW2Stuff does. With my motivation sapped for quite some time now, I've decided to take the site offline.
It was a good run whilst it lasted. Thank you.
